Easter Snowboarding

It normally takes 6 minutes for the chairlift to take us to the top of the mountain, but since the resort is closed, the lifts aren't operating. We decided to take a hike up the ski hill today since the last storm system dumped 2 feet on the mountain in a matter of days. It took us a couple of hours to hike up with our snowboards strapped to our backpacks. It was a long and strenuous hike but the rewards of riding down in knee deep powder are PRICELESS! And we get to bring our dog with us!

One of the benefits of living in Denver- our resorts don't close until May, and some stay open til June. :-) The powder was specTACular these past four days, and it was just run after run after run. Sigh, gonna miss "winter"...
